I earned my Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling at Fairleigh Dickinson University. My NJ license in Professional Counseling qualifies me to provide counseling and therapy to individuals of all ages, as well as to couples and families. I am a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist, certified by the Imago Relationship Institute, which is a postgraduate specialty in couples counseling. In addition, my post graduate training includes certification in Posttraumatic Stress Management by UMDMJ. I am a graduate of the Rutgers Certificate Program in Adoption, the EMDR Institute's Level 2 training, and completed advanced clinical training in systemic couples and family therapy at the Center for Family, Community, and Social Justice.

I have an eclectic approach to helping my clients, depending on what you need help with and what will work best for you. My therapeutic approach with couples includes systemic intervention integrated with Imago principles. I believe in working as a team with my clients. I'm the expert in mental health, but you're the expert on yourself. Together we come up with a plan and an approach that fits you as the unique individual that you are. Some of these approaches include Imago Relationship Therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), systemic family and couples therapy, EMDR, insight oriented therapy, and solution focused interventions.

My work experience has encompassed women's issues, adolescents, trauma, bereavement, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, relationships (premarital counseling, affairs, communication issues, disconnection, relational crisis management), and stepfamilies. I particularly enjoy helping couples to create and achieve a relationship vision that brings them joy.

In addition to my private practice, I have several years of experience directing a school based teen counseling program and have supervised staff clinicians on a regular basis. I have also had clinical experience supervising masters level therapists in therapeutic intervention, case formulation, and ethical and legal issues. I really enjoy this aspect of my work, and offer private group and individual clinical supervision to masters level counselors working toward their LPC.

Personal Interests: creative writing, reading, movies, gourmet cooking, travel, and most of all, spending time with my husband and two beautiful boys. My absolute favorite places are the Amalfi Coast in Italy and Wroxton, England, where I lived and studied for a portion of my degree.
